Dr. Chris Orem is the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Research at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College in Virginia. He has a Ph.D. in Assessment and Measurement from James Madison University and a M.A. in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University.
Chris has been an accreditation reviewer for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and has presented on topics related to assessment and institutional effectiveness at numerous professional conferences. Additionally, Chris is a member of the Association for Institutional Research, as well as the American Education Research Association, where he has served as the Program Chair for the Measurement and Assessment in Higher Education Special Interest Group.
He teaches inferential statistics for James Madison University and has consulted with colleges and universities on matters related to learning outcomes assessment.
