Beatrice Mateo has been working in leadership development as a consultant, facilitator and coach for 20 years helping business leaders from a wide variety of sectors deal with the critical issues facing them. She has extensive experience in designing and delivering programs to enhance performance both at the individual, team and organizational level.
Beatrice started her professional life as a Change Management Consultant at Arthur Andersen, helping executives implement and lead their teams through organizational changes including mergers and acquisitions, processes and technological changes, cultural changes, market place shifts etc. She then worked at the Center for Professional Education of Andersen Worldwide in Chicago, Illinois designing and delivering the interpersonal curriculum of the firm. During this time she worked for many different offices worldwide providing training, consulting and one-on-one coaching to managers and partners of the firm in India, Singapore, South Africa, the United States, Canada, England, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Holland, Greece, Russia, the Czech Republic etc.
At present Beatrice has her own Leadership Development company in Madrid through which she provides training and coaching to executives of companies from a wide variety of sectors. She is a permanent collaborator of some of the most important institutions for leadership development in Spain and worldwide such as the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) for which she is an Associate Trainer and Executive Coach since 2003, the Executive Education Department of Instituto de Empresa Business School (where she earned several consecutive years the Award to the Best Faculty of the Year) or the Mercer Executive Learning Center. She is certified to administer and use many of the most important psychometrics such as the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, the FIRO B, the California Psychological Instrument, the Conflict Dynamics Profile, the Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument, Values On Line, Workplace Big 5, DISC questionnaire, FEBI etc.
Beatrice has a degree in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Master Of Sciences in Learning and Organizational Change from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where she studied as a Fulbright Scholar. She is based in Spain and has double citizenship French and Spanish. She is fluent in English, French and Spanish and has a working knowledge of German. She lives in Madrid and enjoys reading, walking, seeing movies, traveling and spending time with her 5 children.
