Vice President for Global Initiatives at Berklee College of Music
Guillermo Cisneros is Vice President for Global Initiatives at Berklee College of Music, the world’s premiere university in contemporary music education where he has been leading the launching of its first international campus in Valencia Spain, as well the development of its international programs and partnerships all around the world. He is also founder of Unnivers Institute a non-profit think tank based in Boston supporting higher education institutions in leading change, internationalization and cross border collaboration.
While the early part of his career was focused in the field of Marketing and as private entrepreneur, he has dedicated the last 15 years to starting up innovative educational projects at international level.
He has been part of ESADE senior leadership. As Executive Director of ESADE in Madrid, he led the launch of the business school campus in Spain’s capital and as deputy Managing Director he contributed to corporate development and position ESADE as one of the top international business schools in Europe.
He has also extensive experience in leading corporate education: in Santander Group, a global Financial Group, he served as Chief Learning Officer, driving the development of the group’s Corporate University. He has been also Senior Vice President and Chief Learning Officer of the international industrial group FIAT in Italy.
Guillermo Cisneros has served in the board of several institutions like FUNDIPE (Spain), ASFOR (Italy) and CLIP, the EFMD’s initiative for the development of corporate education.
He holds a doctorate in Business Economics from the University of Barcelona and has attended programs in Harvard Business School, Texas A&M and Babson College. He is also a CFA charter holder.
