Babson Global, a wholly owned subsidiary of Babson College established in 2011, collaborates with organizations worldwide to improve global entrepreneurship education grounded in Babson College’s Entrepreneurial Thought and Action® pedagogy.
Guided by the belief that entrepreneurship drives social and economic value creation, Babson Global seeks to advance Babson College’s reach and impact to new and diversified geographies not typically served by the College’s academic programs.
Our work over the years has cut across the education, business, and social sectors. Examples include:
In collaboration with key public and private institutions, Babson Global pioneered a city-scale entrepreneurship ecosystem initiative in Manizales, Colombia. The program brought together universities, foundations, the local chamber of commerce, and civic organizations to foster sustainable small and medium enterprise growth through education, training, and mentorship. Organizing principles included increasing the number of established companies with new growth versus growing the number of new companies and local capacity building through a train-the-trainer model. The initiative, launched in 2012, remains vibrant today and has become a benchmark for inclusive, city-level ecosystem development in Latin America.
Babson Global is a founding partner to a comprehensive entrepreneurship initiative in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). With funding through KSA’s economic offset program, Babson Global serves as the academic advisory partner for a new private, co-educational college of business and entrepreneurship aligned with the KSA government’s goals for economic transformation. Now in its 8th year of operation, the new college has an enrollment of 1,400 active graduate business students across 3 degree programs – Executive MBA, Master in Management, and Master in Finance.
Economic offset program funding also established the Babson Global Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (BGCEL), whose mission is to advance the entrepreneurship ecosystem of KSA and the surrounding region through education, research and outreach across the education, business, and social sectors. Through 2024, Babson Global served as the academic partner for a new private university located in West Jakarta, Indonesia. Established in 2014, the university offers industry-driven undergraduate business curriculum supported by Babson College’s Entrepreneurial Thought and Action® pedagogy. Our work with the university included curriculum development, designing and implementing faculty professional development, providing entrepreneurship-focused student workshops and training, and support for the integration of entrepreneurship principles across all disciplines, not just in the business and entrepreneurship major.
